Welcome to Bachelor of Pharmacy@RMIT

Pharmacy is a profession playing an important role in the Australian health care system. The RMIT University Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) degree prepares you for a career in pharmacy and related industries. As a graduate of the program, you will have the requisite knowledge, skills and attributes to enter into an approved intern training program leading to registration as a pharmacist upon successful completion. You will expand your knowledge of the underpinning sciences and apply your knowledge and understanding to drug delivery, pharmacy practice, therapeutics and research; developing a foundation for the practice of pharmacy in hospital, community and industrial settings.

The final year of the program prepares you for employment with capstone courses integrating therapeutics and pharmacy practice together with research methodology and a research project. The focus of these courses is the application of the knowledge, skills and attributes that you have learned throughout the program, communicating effectively and working both independently and as a member of a team. The honours level of the final year also means that you can progress directly to more advanced research studies.

This program is offered in face-to-face mode (on campus), with support for flexible learning where appropriate.
